The Teen Observer (#TeenObserverAU) is published during journalism workshops at American University each summer. The faculty welcomed more than 650 students from more than 40 states and 17 countries n 2019 to the AU campus in Washington, D.C., and to the University of California, Berkeley, campus for workshops, including journalism, entertainment communication, scriptwriting, photography, filmmaking, sportswriting and public relations, among others. In the summer of 2020, these workshops were offered online. In the summer of 2021, some in-person workshops have resumed at American University, and student stories will be published on the Teen Observer site.
